When I was a very young child my mother had a Blue
Merle Collie for about 6 months and I fell in love with that girl, her name was "Melody". I was devestated when she could
no longer keep her because of my mother's allergies to her. I said to her "I will have a dog like that when I grow up". She
was beautiful with a lot of white and actually I now know she would have been called a Color Headed White Blue Merle, but
as a child I just seen a flashy pretty dog.
Well even though they are a different breed and a
big size difference, I finally got my blue merle with a lot of white flashy points, even though he is not a color
headed white, I had to wait over 40 years for him but I got him. Dozer was my first blue and surley won't be my last
as my new little bi-black girl "Ebony" just may be the one to have my next blue litter.
Dozer is the result of a tri-factored sable to blue merle breeding.
He was the only blue pup out of 4. Balto is his father and Cee Cee was the mother. She was the blue merle and only about 13 1/4 in.
